Why Your SMS Verification Code Did Not Arrive

Waiting for an SMS verification code is frustrating. Delivery depends on the destination service and provider, but a few checks can help you understand what happened before starting another session.

Keep the verification screen open

SMSCode listens for messages while the number is active. Keep the verification screen open and check the current deadline shown in the app.

Confirm the service and country

Make sure the number was requested for the same service and country you are verifying. Different services and countries have different provider availability and acceptance rates.

Check the deadline and session status

A temporary number is intended for one short verification session. If the deadline has passed or the number has expired, the session cannot be extended. Follow the in-app cancellation or expiry guidance.

Avoid duplicate purchases during uncertainty

If a store purchase or reservation is still being checked, do not repeat the purchase. Keep the receipt or transaction details and contact SMSCode support so the transaction can be reviewed safely.

When to try another option

If the destination service rejects the number or the provider does not deliver the message before expiry, choose another available service or country after the current session has ended.
